IAAF - RDC

The Director of the IAAF RDC San Juan Lenford Levy used the opportunity of the Central American Youth Championships (under 15 years), to visit Managua, Nicaragua from November 25 - 27, 2011. Some 250 athletes between the ages of 12 -15 years from 7 Member Federations;BIZ, GUA, ESA, HON, NCA, CRC and PAN participated in these Championships hosted by the Nicaraguan Athletics Federation.
 
The RDC Director also contributed to CADICA meeting, where a sub-regional Techinical Commission was formed for this body, which is very important for the future development of the sport in Central America.
 
Also, in the absence of the Director, NACAC President Mr. Neville McCook gave closing remarks for the IAAF TOECS Level 1 Course which was conducted for 40 Technical Officials from Central America prior to the Championships. The TOECS Level I course, which was co-sponsored by the RDC and NCA was conducted by Mr. Michael Serralta (PUR).
